Motorola Razr To Launch In India Very Soon; Registration Page Is Live

Motorola made waves last month when it unveiled the all-new, resurrected Moto Razr to the world. The Razr is a healthy mix of nostalgia and future in that it retains the classic Razr design, but with a foldable display. After its announcement in the US last month, the Razr is making its way to India.

Motorola India took to Twitter to announce that it’s first foldable phone will soon be available in India. Registrations for the phone have opened too. Interested people can register on Motorola’s website to know when the phone will arrive.
refresh your memory, the Moto Razr is a reboot of the original Moto Razr that was launched back in 2004. It features a clamshell design that flips open to reveal a 6.2-inch foldable display. When shut, there’s a 2.7-inch Quickview display that lets users control music, see notifications and take selfies. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the Moto Razr doesn’t leave a gap when it folds, thanks to a hinge design that Motorola claims took them 4 years to perfect.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor that is clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Like other Moto phones, it too runs on near-stock Android and comes with Android Pie out of the box.
The phone has a sizeable bottom chin that houses a capacitive fingerprint scanner and a Type-C port. The battery is rated to be a 2,510mAh unit that supports 15W TurboPower charging. In terms of cameras, there is a 16MP sensor that acts as a selfie camera when the phone is folded, and as a primary sensor when the phone is unfolded. There’s an internal 5MP selfie camera that sits in the notch of the larger display.
The phone was announced for USD 1,499 (~INR 1,064,000) in the United States and is also expected to launch in India with a premium price tag. As for the launch date, there’s no official information yet. But given the tease, it should be around the corner.
